About Me

My name is Shanda Rae (last name here). I'm fifteen years old, and my birthday is July 5. I live in Pennsylvania. I have three brothers, Jordan, Ryan, and Preston. My dad is a pastor. My mom usually helps out at my brothers' school as a snack mom and teacher helper.

One of the things I do is go to a group called Heaven's Loving Hands, but everyone that is in it just calls it 'puppets.' It's a Christian ministry team that works with puppets, dances, mimes, works with blacklight, and does skits. We do a lot of outreach to places around the area and we go to an annual conference in Virginia. I just LOVE going to puppets-the people there are so funny!

I'm also in two bell groups. One is on Tuesdays and the other is on Wednesdays. Tuesday's group is just a quartet, and sometime just a trio. I enjoy that group because it challenges me more than Wednesday night's group. I have piano lessons on Thursdays too, every other week.

Another season of marching band is starting. Mr. Trier is our new director, and he seems to be doing just fine. Our show is called "Friday Night Jazz" and we are doing the songs "Pennsylvania 6-5000," "Wave," and "Mercy Mercy." I play the tenor saxophone and so of course I am in the best section EVER- Low Brass. Everyone agrees that we are the best section ever, so don't even question our awesomeness.

I have prayed about what I'm going to do in the future, and I think I'm going to be a piano teacher and a piano tuner. I really love music, and I'm already starting to teach piano, so I think God's preparing me for those jobs.
